What is Pixboom?

Pixboom is a free service that enables bloggers and site owners to include information such as people places or products in images. Pixboom enhances the user experience and increases the interactive experience of the site in a simple and great looking way!

What can I tag with Pixboom?

You can tag any picture with a combination of text and/or url-links. It can be a link to a friends blog, your favourite e-shop or a facebook profile page. Or why not tag a picture with a google-map link to where it was taken?

Does it cost anything to use Pixboom?

No, Pixboom is free for its users.

How do I get started?

It is really simple. Register on pixboom.com and follow the instructions.

Can other people tag my images?

No, only the site owner can tag the images. You need to be logged in on your pixboom account in combination with having your own unique script implemented.

Will Pixboom affect my sites load times?

No, the pixboom script is only loaded after your site has fully loaded. It does not affect your sites load time.

I have installed the Pixboom script but I still can´t tag, what now?

First, make sure that you are logged in on pixboom.com.
Secondly, please make sure that the script is implemented according to the instructions, click here to have a look.
Observe that it sometimes can take a few minutes before the script starts to work properly. Refresh your site a couple times and try again.

How do I remove tags?

In the edit mode you can just drag and drop them outside the image or click on the trashcan icon.

I have a blog on wordpress.com (or another non javascript enabled platform), can I still use Pixboom?

No, for pixboom to work you have to be able to install and run scripts on your site. The team is working on a solution and in the mean time we suggest that you change platform :)

Can I tag from multiple computers?

Yes, go to pixboom.com and log on your account on the computer you want to use.
